Lakeside casita features a typical wall framing house wrapped in polycarbonate, allowing a self-sufficient climate comfort control.
"The void created between he plastic polycarbonate skinned and the wood construction serves to insulate the house. This polycarbonate skin reflects the glaring sun of the summer, yet it admits the weak rays of sun in the winter."

During summer the ventilation panels A (ground floor) and ventilation windows B(terrace) must be opened allowing a cross ventilation which lets the cooler airflow from beneath the platform structure, and lets the hot air escape through the openings on the ceiling.

B. While in summer this space serves as a garden A, during winter the lids remain closed allowing it to work as a solar thermal collector B.
